Flooding All Over Italy

So much is happening in Italy right now in terms of flooding that I have decided to feature some of the areas that are most hit. Later today I will write a piece about my recent visit to Venissa – a winery in the Venetian Lagoon on an island called Mazzorbo. The winery is in brought in by importer Wilson Daniels.  Later in the week I will write about areas in Tuscany and Basilicata that are impacted by the floods. Sadly, I fear before the month is out we will have news of other areas impacted. Thus far two people have died from the flooding. Let’s hope that number stays where it is.

Here are some articles about the floods in Venice:

and in Matera:

  1. Thanks for the updates. I was not aware of the extensive flooding and damage in other cities across the country. I’m looking forward to your future posts on the effects of this devastating weather.
