50 States of Wine for Our 250th Anniversary

This great map from @WineFolly inspired me some years ago to write about wine in different areas of the United States but I didn’t get very far. I am going to try again. I don’t have 50 days between now and July 4th, but only 18. So I will be linking to articles that I have already written about some wines and parts of different States such as New Mexico, Michigan, New York, Virginia, Oregon, Texas, Massachusetts, Washington California, Maryland, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. These are posts from 12 states but I have 38 more to complete. I accept the challenge. I love that wine is made in every state now and that wine tasting is an activity that people do in every region and part of our country.

This week, I am in the South, specifically the Southeast and am looking forward to tasting some of the local wines. I have not found them yet in the few restaurants that I have visited but pershaps that will change or I can find them in a local store. I will be writing about wines in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Tennessee in the next couple of days. Stay tuned…
