I have some pictures of Sonoma but I felt like posting this one of the Golden Gate as a well-known wine writer, Alder, is in town today. I’m going to go see him speak about his new book so this is a short post.
I’m tasting my way through wines that were sent to me by Kenwood Vineyards. I started with their Six Ridges Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. It was a full bodied Pinot Noir that I paired with some Peruvian Chicken. It had a lot of color but it did have the unmistakable aromas and flavors of Pinot from a warmer climate. The wine spent three weeks on the skins before aging in wood for 12 months.
The very active PR firm working with Kenwood sent me a nice infographic today about the winemaker, Pat Henderson’s favorite Sonoma haunts. I thought I would share it here.
