I had the opportunity to taste today’s Wine Wednesday wine last summer at the Society of Wine Educators conference. It is a Rosé of Pinot Noir from Sokol Blosser, a fascinating winery from Oregon. I discovered this winery during the Oregon group tasting the day before the conference began. I knew nothing about it but apparently I am the only one. They are very forward thinking and are a registered B Corp, a fact that won them praise for me. This particular certification matters to me because, “B Corps meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability, and aspire to use the power of markets to solve social and environmental problems.
