I’ve spent the weekend watching all the tributes to and about the passing late Friday night of the civil rights icon John Lewis, Congressman from Georgia for more than 30 years. He has been one of my heroes for many decades since I first read his story and heard him speak. We have so few great men or women to admire in politics but he certainly was one for the ages. I know he was a man of faith so I take comfort in thinking of him peaceful after such an incredible life of service and on the road for social justice. So much is wrong with our society but his optimism was infectious. While sad, I also feeling renewed faith in what one individual can do to change the world.
