I recently attended my college reunion. It had been five years since I had been on that particular campus and before that, many years since college. I hadn’t remembered so much stuff about the place and so many people but when I was there, much of it flooded back. College is a unique time in one’s life and a discreet time.

In addition to the amazing music that I heard this weekend, I was reflecting on what people were drinking. So many people were drinking beer just as they had when we were in college. They also offered California wines and there was a small seminar by a Master Sommelier for the alumni so wine did factor in the ceremonies but I was surprised at how few of my friends were drinking it. Most preferred Bloody Marys, Vodka Tonics and beer. I shouldn’t have been surprised but I was.
