Waiting for the World Cup Finals And Dreaming of Rueda

I’m working in a lovely wine shop today called Maslow 6. Maslow is owned by my friend and wine colleague Keri Kunzle Jackson. I’m serving a wine from Spain today made at Sitios de Bodegas Can Cass in Rueda. The wine is a blend of Verdejo, Viura and Sauvignon Blanc. At a cool $11, this is a perfect way to celebrate the World Cup, Spain’s first. A bunch of Spaniards just came in and bought the farm, champagne as well. I guess they think they will be celebrating later….I know I’m hoping Spain wins. 24 minutes to go.
