I have been thinking about what changes I will be making to Avvinare this year. I have decided on a few and I thought I would share them. I will continue with my Monday Musings posts where I speak about themes in the beverage industry that are larger than any one region and how I see them. This is a trends series and is a Monday posting. On Wednesdays I will continue with Wine Wednesday posts about specific wineries. On Thursdays I will pick up where I left off with my Italian indigenous grape series. On Tuesdays, Fridays, and the weekend, I will write about some of the wine adventures I have had over the past year or so and I will add a travel column to a specific location or region on one of those days that will also focus on the art in the region, a fundamental interest of mine that has gone by the wayside in my writing it seems. I will also be writing about climate change, the vine year, and soils – other topics that truly inspire me. And for fun, I will throw in some useful terms in other languages with definitions to switch it up a bit.

I look forward to continuing to participate in the blogging groups and I am also looking to return to my podcast this month. I had done two series back in 2021 and 2022, one on wine books and one on sustainability. I will be getting back to both hoping later this month.

I will also be launching some new things but I will write and discuss that as we go along. It’s only January 4th but my mind and ideas are flowing again after a peaceful holiday. Happy to be back writing about all manner of wine, regions, and travel. It’s almost year 16 on Avvinare and I am committed to keeping it going with new fresher content and educational information.
