Today’s Monday Musings is about non-alcoholic beer. I had my first such beer last week. I went to buy beer for my Mom and realized that the beer offering is now so complicated. I wanted to buy Sam Adams, the way I remember it but the only items I could find were all particular and none seemed to be a straight lager. Luckily I thought I will have a Stella. I have had Stella throughout the years, particularly in Italy where it is very present.

It was quite refreshing and thirst-quenching. Amber in color, with floral notes, and a bitter finish/ I bought it by accident but I can see how one could switch whether for the fewer calories or the clearer head, this libation is welcome at my table. Stella has a very long history having started over 600 years ago in 1366 in Leuven, Belgium.  It has changed owners throughout the years and is now part of Anheuser-Busch\.
